Sunday Times Prep School of the Year 2013-14

Our Lenten fund raising has been top of our agenda these last few days as our ‘Enterprise’ project was launched across the school. This initiative aims to promote creativity, problem solving and collaboration amongst all our girls from Reception to Year 6, alongside raising money for our chosen charity. Each class endeavours to think up an idea for a product that can be made by them and sold at our Enterprise Fair later this term.

Any good product which is brought to market begins with a business plan and a request for funding; welcome aboard our very own ‘Holy Cross Bankers’ who sat with a pile of ten pound notes in anticipation of hearing a great pitch from each class about their idea and product. Watch out ‘Dragons Den’ we have some very impressive young entrepreneurs amongst us. A big ‘Thank You’ to the willing parents who gave up their time to listen to our girls pitch and very generously gave out the cash, £100 to each class, with an exhortation to make it grow bigger! The girls can now get ordering resources and making their product, as well as advertising and marketing what they will be selling. We look forward to the Fair towards the end of term and buying all the goods with all profits going straight to our chosen charity this year, The Princess Alice Hospice.
