Outdoor Learning

With eight glorious acres at our disposal, including a woodland walk, ‘outdoor learning’ forms an important part of our pupils’ learning experience; from exploring pond habitats and planting seeds in the raised flowerbeds, to completing the bespoke cross-country track, our pupils form a strong connection to the ‘great outdoors’.

There is so much for children to enjoy; nestled amongst the daffodils, our storytelling chair provides the perfect setting for group story activities; our large, colourful playground is surrounded by oak, cedar and silverbirch trees, ideal for discovering the homes of minibeasts; and our state-of-the-art 3G pitch promotes enthusiasm and excellence across our varied sports curriculum.

Our reception pupils also benefit from an ‘outdoor classroom, complete with its own climbing frame and HMS Holy Cross ship.
