Our year 6 girls had a phenomenal week in France. They loved staying at Maison Claire Fontaine in rural Burgundy and fully immersed themselves in French life. They experienced many cultural and linguistic opportunities. Their confidence in speaking French grew each day and was a delight to observe. Activities included a trip to a château, a walk in the beautiful countryside, a market, a sweet factory, a UNESCO world heritage site and a restaurant. They also enjoyed many wonderful activities at Maison Claire Fontaine, including mosaic making, baking, menu design and a daily French lesson. The girls’ French language skills developed incredibly, as a result of the well-structured activities with excellent linguistic content. Memories to treasure forever.
