Another Fantastic Prize Giving

9th July 19

Mrs Hair and the year 6 pupils delivered the annual school report to our junior parents; from victories in sport to marvels in music, there were lots of exciting achievements to discuss. Then it was time to present the junior prizes, awarded for effort, progress and achievement.

This year we were joined by international hockey player, Fiona Semple. Fiona talked about the importance of learning from our failures, in order to pick ourselves up to try, try again – a lesson she has faced many times during her career, from Head of Girls’ Hockey at The Wimbledon Club, to Scottish International. It was a truly inspiring speech, which will stay with our girls for many years (and lessons) to come.

Mrs Hair also took the opportunity to announce this year’s overall house winner… St Francis! St Francis finished the year with a grand total of 6508 house points (that’s 969 more points than last year’s winner!) – an incredible team effort. Well done girls!

After the presentation, our families headed to the top lawn to enjoy refreshments in the summer evening sun – a lovely end to the festivities.
