Inspection Success

27th June 19

Mrs Hair and the rest of the staff at Holy Cross Prep were delighted with the results of our recent ISI report:

Between Tuesday 14th – Thursday 16th May 2019 the School was inspected by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI): this was a Focused Compliance Inspection (FCI) and Education Quality Inspection (EQI).  This was a very demanding and intense three days, with three highly experienced inspectors on site, reviewing all aspects of school life in depth. The lead reporting inspector then writes a report, which is published as a public document on the ISI website. In accordance with the Independent School Standards, a copy of the report is sent directly to the parents of each registered pupil by the school.

The report is made up of two parts. The findings are as follows:

  • Part One, the Focused Compliance inspection findings where eight areas are assessed and a school is deemed to have either ‘met’ or ‘not met’ each of the standards in turn.

I am very pleased to advise that the school was found to have been compliant in all 8 areas.

  • Part Two, the Educational Quality inspection findings where two areas are assessed, the quality of the pupils’ academic achievements and the quality of the pupils’ personal development, and in each area the assessment can be one of four grades: unsatisfactory, sound, good or excellent.

I am very pleased to advise that the school was assessed as ‘Excellent’ in both categories.

I am delighted, on behalf of the whole school community (parents, pupils, staff, Advisory Body members and trustees), for this external validation of our work.

I would like to thank all girls, parents and staff for your commitment, support and contribution in making Holy Cross the excellent school that it is.
