Speak out Stay safe

3rd May 19

Last Friday the NSPCC visited Holy Cross Prep and delivered a 30-minute assembly to both Pre-Prep and Juniors girls, focusing on key safeguarding messages for the children.

The girls met the NSPCC mascot, ‘Buddy’, and learnt about their individual rights: the right to speak out and to be heard, the right to be safe and the right to get help when they need it.

Pupils were also encouraged to think about which trusted grown-ups they could talk to if they ever felt sad, worried or unsafe (both inside and outside of school), and the importance of continuing to speak out until something changes.
