Exciting news at Holy Cross Prep… our brand new sports facility is just a couple of months from completion.
In order to realise our dream of providing a first-rate, all-year sports facility for our pupils, we enlisted the help of sports construction and estate infrastructure specialist, S&C Slatter. After months of careful planning and research, the project came to life in October 2018, with the arrival of the very first lorry (the first of many!).
Making the most of our beautiful 8-acre site, our new facility will boast a floodlit all-weather pitch, a large artificial sports turf area (for sports and recreational use all year round) and a sports pavilion – perfect for hosting match teas!
Now watertight (in time for April showers!), with a lovely Cedar-finish cladding in place, the pavilion is really taking shape. The next part of the process will see the building equipped with plumbing, electricity and data.
Due to be completed by the end of the Easter break, we are looking forward to an exciting summer of sports. Watch this space!
