Last Friday both our Year One Classes had a wonderful visit to Kew Gardens. They were blessed with beautiful weather and were able to explore the grounds, the recently renovated and reopened Princess of Wales Conservatory and the ‘Hive’ installation; all of which extended their science classroom-based learning. They witnessed and experienced the changes occurring in the environment during Autumn and created their own natural form sculptures after being introduced to the work of Andy Goldsworthy. It was a really delightful trip and a great way to spend a day learning, being engaged and having fun. A big ‘Thank You’ to staff and parents who accompanied the trip and to the girls for their behavior and active learning.
Fun in the ‘Hive’ installation in Kew.
