Year 5 Service

27th September 18

This week our Year 5 girls led our collective worship on the theme of ‘community’. We heard how they had explored in class how we are all part of, and shaped by the community around us; for example, family, friends, teachers, doctors, priests. They related this interaction to the experience of a jagged rock which, slowly over time becomes smoother, more polished and beautiful as it tumbles in water and comes into contact with other rocks. This interaction is positive and calming and we all benefit greatly from being part of a community rather than an insular little rock on our own!

The girls acted and spoke beautifully and made us all think about those most dear to us, and all those who make us the way we are. We are all lucky to be part of the big Holy Cross community as well.
