Wisley Trip!

27th September 18

On Wednesday both our Reception classes went on a very special nature adventure to RHS Wisley; Ms Smith our Head of Pre-Prep details what happened below.

“The Reception girls were excited to be going on their very first school trip and even more so, that we were being accompanied by our ‘big girls’ for lots of hand holding and reassurance on the coach and walking around.

In Reception recently, we have started on our learning topic of “Ourselves”. In this topic we explore and investigate our environment, our bodies, our new school and families. Our trip to Wisley Gardens helped to enhance this learning in a variety of ways.

Once there, we enjoyed two fun workshops. The first was all about our 5 senses whilst the other was about growing plants. We were able to get our hands dirty and pot up some seedlings which we intend to look after and see how well they can grow! We were blessed with warm sunshine all day which made the group picnic, playground visit and nature walk in the fresh air even more enjoyable.

All our girls were beautifully behaved and represented the school perfectly. A huge ‘Thank You’ to all staff and parents who accompanied the trip. A great day out – and no doubt early night – was had by all!”
