Macmillan Coffee Morning

24th September 18

We are playing our part in the ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ on Friday 28th.September for Macmillan Cancer Research and it really is one of the highlights of the Autumn term calendar so please do drop in and support us if you can.

From 8:30am.drop off on Friday morning the air will be thick with the uplifting, delicious aroma of freshly brewed coffee (or tea if you prefer!) mingled with some tempting sweet treats in the Hall – what better way to end the week?! The event has always attracted a lot of attention, we even had the Mayor of Kingston pop in one year, as Holy Cross parents, old and new, former staff and even ex pupils waiting to go off to university make the effort to come back and socialise and support this incredibly good cause. There is usually a raffle with some super prizes and the chance to purchase some larger cakes to take away for the weekend so do bring your purse, please!

We are hoping our coffee morning will have tables laden with all manner of tempting goodies and ask parents to bring anything they have bought, or baked, into school either on Thursday evening or Friday. Please remember we are a NUT FREE school, but any biscuits, flapjacks, cookies, cup-cakes, muffins, pastries, meringues, macroons, tray bakes, tartlets, loaf cakes or larger sandwich style cakes would be extremely welcome. Thank you in advance for your support and we hope to enjoy a cup of coffee with you on Friday for this great charity.
