In Assembly today we welcomed a lady, Michelle, from the Kingston Hospital charity to speak to us a little bit about the work the charity does and where our fundraising will be going. The school enjoyed wearing their own clothes and donating for the privilege to do so towards the end of the summer term when we celebrated 70 years of the NHS on 5th.July – we were now delighted to hear that our generosity had raised over five hundred pounds. We presented a cheque to Michelle for £502 and heard how our money would go towards purchasing vital medical equipment, or funding for the wards, to make the environment more pleasant. It was warming to know our funds would be used to benefit the local community. A huge ‘Thank You’ to all our parents and girls for their generous, kind support.
