At the start of the new academic year we like to set up sessions for all our parents to enable them to meet the new class teacher and teaching assistant that their daughter will be involved with all year. These sessions are informal, take place in the Old Chapel and provide an opportunity to raise any questions you may have specific to that particular academic year group, eg.homework expectations, PE days, dismissal times etc.
Parents will also receive guidance from the teachers about their year expectations and how you at home can support your daughter. We firmly believe in a two-way partnership as this will lead to the most beneficial and successful experience of schooling at Holy Cross. The dates and timings of these ‘Meet the Teacher’ sessions are included on the Parents Calendar – sent previously to you by email – as well as being published here on our website calendar. We hope to see many of you attending.
Reception class parents benefit from their ‘Meet the Teacher’ session on Thursday evening, which includes time after the teacher presentation to further socialise with other parents in the class and year group as a whole; light refreshments will be provided.
Any general school queries can be relayed to your Form / Class Rep who will then raise them on your behalf to Mrs Hair and her staff through the forum of the Form Reps Meeting.
