Sunday Times Prep School of the Year 2013-14

Christmas lunch, craft and quiz questions!

35 kilos of potatoes, 22 kilos of carrots, a mountain of mince pies and untold hours in a steamy kitchen resulted in the most tastiest Christmas lunch ever for us yesterday. It was a real treat and thoroughly enjoyed by staff and pupils alike. Mrs Boufe, Mr Orkney and their dedicated team worked so hard to finish this term's lunch service off in style and had even rustled up a sweet trolley laden with goodies and complete with working train tooting its way around a track past the mince-pies, cup-cakes, marshmallow snowmen, jelly and meringues - a sight to behold!

After lunch, the Infant girls enjoyed a craft afternoon organised by Miss Vallely, whilst the Juniors worked in their House groups, in teams, to be crowned 'House Quiz Champions 2014'. Mrs Hadgianni and Mrs Davis were our Quiz Masters asking all the tricky questions which had been set by various staff members and the specialist teachers. It was lucky we had consumed such a fabulous lunch to keep up the blood sugar levels required in all these various activities.
