Sunday Times Prep School of the Year 2013-14

Thursday morning saw an annual date on the calendar that really does spread Christmas cheer, and not just for us in school; class Y5 and Y5P walked to Speirs House in Coombe and sang carols for the residents there.

Mrs Petersons who organises the event tells us how,

"The girls sang with great enthusiasm and sounded marvellous, which prompted smiles all around. At the end of the programme when they were talking to the residents, one lady was keen to sing to us which we enjoyed, this then encouraged further impromptu songs from the residents who had many requests for us to sing - we could have stayed all day! We concluded our visit with a very jolly, “We Wish you a Merry Christmas” sung with real warmth and feeling. Our efforts were kindly rewarded with a hot chocolate or juice; well done girls - it really meant a lot to the ladies and gentlemen there who appreciated your beautiful, sweet voices. I am delighted to be able to share your talents".
