Sunday Times Prep School of the Year 2013-14

FOHC Christmas Fair

The Choir sang beautifully, under the watchful eye of Mrs Petersons, to open proceedings at 11am. and the Hall was buzzing and packed with people. By the close of day at 3pm.there were still many families, friends, staff and girls enjoying themselves and taking time to chat and have fun together. It was delightful to see so many of our 'old girls' come back to visit us - some who had left over 5 years ago.

The Fair was a huge success and a lot of fun for everyone, adults and children alike. No one went hungry or thirsty with incredibly iced cup-cakes, tempting sweets, delicious hog roast and sizzling barbecues, buttery pop corn and sticky sweet candy floss on offer with fresh coffee, soft drinks in every flavour imaginable and mulled wine to wash it all down with. Children of all ages enjoyed games, activities, fun stalls, Christmas crafting, and many had nails polished, faces painted and tattoos applied. The Magic Show was very popular and of course there was a great deal of Christmas shopping done - both in secret, and from stall holders with all sorts on offer.  Photos taken by Mr Harrison of the day can be seen in the Parent area on the website - Galleries - later this week.

None of this would have happened without a huge army of talented, selfless individuals busy behind the scenes, preparing weeks in advance and tirelessly organising things on the day and helping in the big clear-up afterwards. The Facilities team in school are certainly grateful for all the extra pairs of hands on deck, at this time. Parents, Form Reps and Committee Members all pull together through the FOHC and the school would be much less of a community without them.

A massive THANK YOU to everyone involved.
