Sunday Times Prep School of the Year 2013-14

A Christmas Caper!

We are getting very excited in school at the prospect of our 'Christmas Caper' next Monday, 7th. December; this is a big fund raising event which has been organised to promote awareness of the ALS condition (a type of Motor Neurone Disease) and to support one of our families living with this devastating, terminal condition.

The girls have been encouraged to attend school on Monday in their own 'festive wear' - Christmas jumpers, sparkly t-shirts, reindeer print leggings, tartan, fair-isle, red and green colours...the wardrobe options are endless, but it does need to be suitable for walking and capering around the grounds in - so no delicate, silky party dresses please! The girls will wear their outdoor trainers on the caper and their coats if necessary. Don't forget those Santa hats and elf ears to complete the outfit...

We would like to think that as many of you as possible would also be able to join in the fun and fund raising and caper around the grounds with your daughter and the school staff; please do return the slip to your daughter's class teacher by Thursday this week, 3rd.December. The sponsorship form can be photocopied as necessary and indicates either a total pledge or per lap; the caper course lap is approximately 1 kilometre long and we are out on it for 45 minutes. There will also be a few surprises en route, around the grounds which will keep spirits high whether you are walking, jogging or running parts of it - in true Christmas caper style!

Thanking you in advance for your support of this event; as a school community it means a lot to us.
