Many Musical Success Stories!

Recently at the start of our Assembly time we have been treated to various performances by a number of our girls on their chosen instruments. Performing for an audience is a vital part of a growing, young musician's experience and can help towards interviews for senior school musical scholarships, graded exams and other auditions hence why Mrs Petersons and her team of dedicated peri staff suggest pupils to play. We have recently been in awe of grades 4,5 and even 6 on violin as well as grade 4 piano!

A pupil in Year 5 has successfully auditioned  for inspirational ensemble group, 'Pro Corda' and was offered a place in her age group camp (Y3-Y5) in May half-term and also a place to join in an older age group camp (Y6-Y8) in the summer; fabulous news, very well done Sarah!

We have also heard the great news that one of our former pupils, Tiger, who is now in Year 9 at Surbiton High, has just auditioned and won a place in the National Youth Wind Orchestra.  This is a fantastic achievement for a girl of her age. Well done Tiger- and to think it all started with Class Brass in Year 3 with Mr Stott not so many years ago...
