Sunday Times Prep School of the Year 2013-14

As a school community there are times of the year when we lean a little heavier on parents for input and support, above and beyond 'the norm', and recently this has been very much the case here at Holy Cross. The Art Exhibition, plea for Calaid donations and the Macmillan Coffee morning have all fallen within the space of 2 weeks and we really do appreciate the ways in which you have wholeheartedly backed us, and your girls, at all of these.

The Art Exhibition produced nearly 70% sales which is an incredible figure and one that indicates you liked what you saw; the extra copies and any sets of note cards ordered will be sent home with your daughter by the end of this week.

Our Glass Box area in the Hall is pleasingly full of all sorts of your kind donations to help the refugees from Syria. The charity Calaid is aiming to pick up the goods at the end of this week, but in the meantime any other contributions are very welcome; gloves, scarves, anoraks, socks, belts, sleeping bags, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, candles...all very gratefully received.

Helping Others...

We appreciate that many of you could join us last Friday for cake and coffee and are delighted to report that your generosity has raised over £2,300 so far. Please do have a glance and check the remaining cake tins, plates and tupperware that have not found their way back home as yet - they will be on display by the Pupil Entrance at morning and afternoon drop-off.
