Month of the Rosary

2nd October 20

On Wednesday, Y4P led us in a beautiful service to remind us all that the month of October is dedicated as the ‘Month of the Rosary’. Mary chose to give the Rosary to one of our very own house saints, St. Dominic, in the 13th century and told him to preach it to others. It is still a very important meditative prayer today and we are all encouraged to say the Rosary throughout October, remembering the Mysteries of the Rosary. These are the important times in Jesus’ life, which we think about together with Mary his Mother. Praying with Mary helps us to better understand the life of Jesus and bring us closer to God.

When God chose Mary to be the mother of Jesus, she said ‘Yes’ to God. Mary always said ‘Yes’ to God. We thank God for Mary and pray to her that she will help us to say ‘Yes’ to God. How will you say ‘Yes’ to God this week?
