5, 4, 3, 2, 1… lift off!
What an exciting way to begin a Wednesday morning! Today we were joined (online) by professional poet, Kate Wakeling, who helped us celebrate National Poetry Day (Thursday 1st October) in style. Kate read aloud some of her wonderfully weird and incredibly imaginative poems from her fantastic book, Moon Juice.
Kate shared lots of fascinating ‘little known facts’… for example, did you know that Bad Moods wear weird shoes… or that tiny cacti grow behind children’s ears…
At the end of the session, Kate challenged the girls to write their very own mood poem. We can’t wait to see what they come up with!
