Y4’s service was all about the ways in which the Church celebrates the feast of Candlemas.
The girls retold the story by acting out the time that Mary and Joseph brought Jesus to the temple in Jerusalem, and about Simeon and Anna, who had been waiting to meet the Messiah for a long time.
The girls reflected on how Jesus brings comfort, reassurance and hope in sad and difficult times. We were also encouraged to think about how Jesus is the light of the world and how we see His light when we look around the world we live in.
The message of the service was about choosing to turn away from the darkness and, instead, turn to light… Go and let your light shine for all the world to see!
