Feast of the Holy Cross Mass

10th September 18

The school extends a warm invitation to you all this Wednesday, to join us in the Hall for whole school Mass at 8:45am. Father Michael Sileshi, the parish priest from St.Anne’s Catholic church on Kingston Hill, is our school celebrant and well known to us all. We welcome families of all faiths in school and the celebration of Mass is no different; why not come along to reflect upon and appreciate our rich and joyous school community?

The start of our academic year falls conveniently close to the church’s calendar celebration of 14th.September as the ‘Exaltation (Feast Day) of the Cross’; as we are an organisation founded by the teaching sisters of the Holy Cross order, this seems a particularly apt and relevant theme with which to begin our spiritual journey together this new school year. Mass is usually prepared for us by one of the upper Junior classes, but this occasion will see a few girls from each of our classes get involved. Tea and coffee are served afterwards if you have the time to stay and chat. The girls do love to see their family members present – grandparents, younger siblings, neighbours friends…we are a community for all and would love to see many of you there.
