Each spring, our resourceful year 6s host a special Upcycle Fashion Show.
Over the past few weeks, the girls have been busy chopping and stitching their upcycled clothes to give preloved garments a new lease of life. Sustainability is the key message; the girls have shown us that, with a little vigour and creativity, we can all work towards a more environmentally friendly wardrobe.
Although the rest of our pupils were not able to visit the catwalk in person this year, the 2021 event has ‘gone virtual’ to ensure that everyone can still enjoy the show. Filmed this morning, the fashion show will be edited and shared with the Holy Cross community later this week.
From start to finish, it has been wonderful to see our year 6s taking ownership of this exciting project, whilst raising money for our chosen Lenten charity and promoting sustainable, homemade fashion.
