Harvest Mass

2nd October 19

On Wednesday we celebrated our special Harvest Mass, led by Y6P.

We were joined by many parents and members of our school community, as well as our special visitors from Zambia. It was wonderful to have our Zambian friends contribute to our Mass – the children wrote and read some Prayers of the Faithful, they brought some of their local produce up as part of the Offertory, and they sang a beautiful Offertory hymn in their own language.

At the end of Mass, we broke and shared the beautiful harvest loaf that Mrs Bouffe kindly made with the girls, and a representative from each different part of our school community took some bread back to their classrooms and offices to share together and give thanks.

Thank you for all your generous donations to our CAFOD appeal, which will help ‘Brighten Up’ the lives of those less fortunate than ourselves.
