The Infants were treated to a morning of fairytale, make believe and 'happy ever after' as a theatre company arrived and staged 4 traditional tales for our girls. Little Red Riding Hood, the Three Billy Goats Gruff, the Three Little Pigs and Goldilocks and the Three Bears were re-enacted with much audience participation and help from the girls. It was a super morning with the audience engaged, listening and enjoying the action as it unfolded around them. Look out for more photos of the event on the Parents side of the website, in the 'Gallery' later this week.
...and they all lived happily ever after!
The whole school enjoyed pancakes at lunchtime and were reminded that Lent starts tomorrow. The tradition of cooking pancakes was to use up all the rich fatty foods before Lent begins when historically, a period of fasting or abstinence was commenced in the lead up to Easter. We are having a Service with the giving of Ashes at 8:40am.tomorrow in the Hall - all parents and families are very welcome and the girls have been asked to consider if they would like to receive Ashes or not.
