For one pupil in Y6P last week her French trip was cut short as she had an incredibly exciting and important event that could not be missed! Gaia, who regularly dances with the Royal Ballet School, had received an invitation to meet and perform for the Queen at a special Gala evening in London.

No one arriving in school today from teaching staff, to pupils, the garden and the kitchen teams, delivery men in vans and even the postman could fail to notice that Mr Harrison and Mr Crane have been rather busy....the entrance is bedecked with the Union Jack flag and bunting to herald the start of school celebrations of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

We certainly gave the local coach company good business this week with 4 trips going out of school....not to mention the exciting event which took place in our very own school grounds this week...a mobile farm arrived!

The school is a happy, functioning community because everyone works together and this often includes the more senior girls being given specific responsibilities and jobs to do in various areas. The Year 5 girls have always helped out in the Library and each term a new team of girls are chosen.
