The Head and all the staff work closely together. Teachers are fully involved in pastoral care, contact with parents and extra-curricular activities, in addition to their teaching commitments; Teaching Assistants play a valuable role in supporting classes and support staff in the administration and ancillary departments provide the framework in which effective teaching and learning takes place. Professional development is a priority, the facilities are excellent and the school’s environment is both challenging and supportive.

 

We are pleased to be able to provide specialist teaching throughout the whole school in ICT, music, PE, French, art and design, and drama. The specialist teachers work closely with class teachers to ensure that the girls receive a well-planned, broad and balanced curriculum.

The Senior Leadership Team [SLT] has five members and is led by the Head. The Deputy Head is responsible for the day-to-day organisation of timetabling and has responsibility for curriculum and assessment; the Head of Pre-Prep oversees all aspects of the infant department; the Director of Learning ensures that the needs of all abilities are being addressed. The School Bursar, who is responsible for the finance and administration, completes the SLT. The school buildings and grounds are the responsibility of the Premises Manager and Caretaker, who together with the facilities team, complete the capable and committed team and are fully involved in the life of the school.
