Sunday Times Prep School of the Year 2013-14

Ce jeudi les élèves des classes six ont fait une présentation fantastique sur leur visite en France! Bravo!

For those of you not lucky enough to be taught by Madame Humberston it reads,

“This Thursday the two year 6 classes did their presentation in assembly on their French trip! Well done!”

…and indeed the school and class parents enjoyed the morning learning all about the French trip where the girls whole heartedly immersed themselves in the language and culture of the Burgundy region in France, in a small village near Dijon. They enjoyed a whole range of activities – all taught in French – including mosaic making, a circus workshop, a treasure hunt around a local chateau, a cooking lesson, meeting their French pen pals, shopping in the market and eating out at a  restaurant and even trying snails from the menu! Their enthusiasm over the whole experience was evident in their confident speaking in French and beaming smiles, as they shared their many happy memories. It truly is a highlight of the year 6 calendar and one that the staff equally look forward too, as our girls behaved impeccably and were super ambassadors for the school even modelling our uniform and talking about it to their French friends as they do not wear uniform at school in France!
