'Old Mac Donald Had a Farm...'

On Tuesday, Millers Ark mobile farm came to visit the Pre-Prep girls at Holy Cross – and what a fun filled, glorious day it was! The top lawn was taken over by donkeys, sheep, lambs, goats, geese, a cockerel, ducklings, ducks, and a pig named Poppy, who slept under a parasol to keep cool from the warm sun. The animals happily chomped on the grass and enjoyed the attention from some enthusiastic and excited girls, who ‘ooooohhd’ and ‘aaaaahhhd’ with delight. Handling animals is therapeutic for small children and it helps to build confidence and self-esteem. They also learn how to behave appropriately around an animal, how to care for them and the things animals need to thrive – fabulous learning experience outside the classroom for all.

Farm fun in the sun!
