Sunday Times Prep School of the Year 2013-14

Year 3 Assembly

Year 3 presented their Assembly on Judaism and it was lovely to see so many class parents in attendance since we have opened our doors at this time and welcomed families in response to a proposal by the FOHC for more parental inclusion in school. Do remember that our invitation includes wider, extended family members, not just parents, as we are sure there are many grandparents out there who would like to join us. All we ask, in line with our school policies, is that any photographs taken, or videos made are for your own personal family use and these do not find their way onto any social media, sharing platform, as this is a breach of data protection.

The girls gave us a truly informative and entertaining reflection upon our recent ‘World Faiths Study Week’ which we held focusing on Judaism. They had found out what aspect of the Jewish faith each year group had been studying and were able to precis this information for us. Staff and girls alike, all learnt something interesting about this faith that they had not previously known. Although we are a Catholic school we have always welcomed any faith family and are keen to learn and know more about all the world faiths as this brings greater tolerance and respect for each other. Y3 presented all their learning clearly and coherently and even taught us a song! Well done girls, it is always good to understand more about each other and our beliefs.
