Plant Scientists and Mini Beast Hunters

On Monday 25 th. September the girls in Year 3 enjoyed an exciting day at Nower Wood Educational Nature Reserve, finding out about plant life and mini beasts. They spent the day in wellies, tramping through woodland, fully engaged in fun activities which involved tree shaking, grass sweeping and taking peeks under logs to discover the world of invertebrates! They played the 'Germination' game and collected parts of plants using sticky strips. Although the conditions were damp, spirits were  certainly not dampened and the girls thoroughly enjoyed being 'scientists in the field' all day.
