Sunday Times Prep School of the Year 2013-14

Florence Nightingale

It was the turn of class Y2P to lead our daily act of worship and their Assembly was all about Florence Nightingale.

The girls have been studying this topic in class and enjoyed a workshop recently, meeting and being able to interview the ‘real’ Florence, so they had lots of information to pass on to us. Florence, the founder of modern nursing, features in one of our school mosaic panels because her historical role in society can never be disregarded, plus she provides a super example of being resilient and persevering in the face of adversity!

The girls spoke clearly and role played with pure delight making Florence’s story come alive.
