Eco Council Competition Time

Our Eco Warrior girls are a committed, dedicated passionate bunch who are keen to spread the word around our community about reducing waste, recycling as much as possible, making environmentally friendly choices and being kind to our planet. After a presentation in Assembly they have left the girls with an exciting opportunity to get creative and do a spot of 'up-cycling' - transforming an old, tired, now defunct object, or item, into something else! Their message reads below,

"This term we would like you to get creative and use your design and technology skills to up cycle old gardening equipment and tools into something new in our up-cycling competition! It can be a detailed drawing or labelled diagram A4 size, or even physically made if you are able to do so easily by yourself.

The finished object should be an idea that you have come up with and is easy to create. You should still be able to clearly see what the original item was before it's re-working. It should be designed to last, otherwise it could end up in landfill anyway. Please also make sure that you consider health and safety; it is not advisable to use a broken piece of metal, for example, in your up cycling.

The deadline is Wednesday 1st March - all work or objects to Mrs.Hewitt".
